Ric opened Gym X-Treme Gymnastics & Cheerleading in 1999. He has been actively coaching gymnastics since 1991 and has coached state championship teams at each Level 6-10. He has coached numerous college scholarship recipients and was the coach of Courtney Bumpers (2-time NCAA floor champion for North Carolina). Ric has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from The Ohio State University and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Amy and daughter Aubrey, powerlifting, running, motocross, and is an avid MMA enthusiast.

Amy was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and earned multiple state championships. She was also a regional qualifier. She has been coaching gymnastics since she was 16 years old and also coached the optional team at Gym-Nation before returning to Gym X-Treme to coach Levels 4-6. In 2012, Amy graduated from The University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition with a Minor in Business. She enjoys spending time with her husband Ric and daughter Aubrey, choreographing gymnastics routines, and shopping!
Team Director & Coach
Joanne brings 25 years of competing, coaching and judging experience to Gym X-Treme. She has coached multiple state, regional, and national champions. She also oversees Gym X-Treme’s TOPs/HOPEs Program, which has produced numerous National Qualifiers and athletes named to the TOPs A Team, B Team, Diamond Level, and Developmental Invite Camp. Joanne is dedicated to making a positive impact on the athletic journey and the journey of life of her young athletes. She is committed to changing the lives of young girls by building champions. Joanne and her husband Brian have two daughters, Katlyn and Heather.
Tennille earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Miami University, where she studied Public Relations and Marketing. She has worked at Gym X-Treme since 2015 and also volunteers as a board member for X-Treme Boosters. Tennille and her husband Ty have two daughters, Mina and Gianna. Both girls joined Gym X-Treme in 2011. Mina competed for 4 seasons, and Gianna is currently a Level 9 gymnast. Tennille enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching football, TV and movies.
From 1992-2000, Yuliya was a member of the Belarus National Artistic Gymnastics Team. She won Gold at the Belarus Championships in 1996 and the 1997 Belarus Cup. Yuliya was also a reserve member of the Belarus Team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She has worked as a choreography coach for the Women’s Belarus National Team since 2000. She started working at Gym X-Treme in 2003 and has coached Levels 4-10. Yuliya attended Olympic High School from 1992-1996 and the Academy of Physical Culture and Sport of Belarus from 1997-2000. In her free time, Yuliya and her husband Sergei are busy taking care of their three sons.

Mike competed for Delaware Hayes Men’s High School Gymnastics Team for three years before he graduated in 1991. He has been coaching 2 year olds through Optional Level gymnasts for more than 20 years. Mike has also coached many state champions. He also enjoys playing chess, playing music, camping, and spending time with his son, Jonah.

Kristen is a former Level 9 gymnast for Gym X-Treme and competed for the Dublin Coffman High School gymnastics team from 2001-05. She was also a college cheerleader at Kansas State. Kristen coaches recreational classes through Level 4 at Gym X-Treme and is also the Dublin Jerome High School Gymnastic’s Team Head Coach. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education form Kansas State University and finished her Master of Education in 2013. Outside of the gym, Kristen is a teacher and tutor and is busy being mom to her son Brock.

Dexter is a former cheerleader for the University of Alabama. He has 7 years of gymnastics coaching experience and loves to help kids better their skills, while encouraging them to reach their best potential. Outside of the gym, Dexter likes to watch college and NFL football, work out, and run. He also taught himself how to play the drums.

Alexis was a gymnast for 14 years. She competed Level 10 at Orlando Metro. Alexis has been coaching gymnastics since 2006. She was the captain of her high school cheerleading squad. Alexis graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports & Exercise Science. In her free time, Alexis enjoys spending time with her family, with her dogs, and traveling.

Carmen started gymnastics at 22 months old. She's spent almost her entire life at Gym X-Treme...since early childhood until she graduated from high school as a Level 10 in 2015, and now as a coach. Carmen wants to share her passion for gymnastics and love of the sport to encourage young gymnasts to be their best. Carmen is a graduate of Buckeye Valley High School and currently attends Ohio State. She has been involved with 4-H for 14 years and enjoys nature and outdoor activities.
Kesha is a former Level 5 All-Star Cheerleader. She has coached cheerleading and tumbling for over 10 years. During that time she has coached 2 National Champion All-Star squads, as well as won Best Choreography awards in 2010 & 2013. Kesha is a graduate of Roy C. Start H.S.
Olivia was a gymnast at Gym X-Treme for 10 years. She graduated from Olentangy High School in 2017, where she was involved with Service Club and Track and Field. Olivia enjoys teaching and working with children at gymnastics. She hopes to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Kayci was a gymnast at Gym X-Treme for 10 years. She graduated from Olentangy High School in 2017. Kayci was a member of the Service Club and Track team. She was a track athlete for 4 years and participated in 4-H for 11 years. Kayci enjoys working with children and teaching gymnastics.
Emilie started gymnastics with Gym X-Treme when she was 3 years old, and began competing when she was 6 years old. She competed gymnastics for 8 years (through Level 8) and has played soccer for 13 years, including 7 years of club soccer. She attends Rutherford B Hayes High School where she is also a member of the National Honor Society. Emilie loves music and watching sports, and hopes to play soccer in college.
Avery has been a gymnast since she was 2 years old. She will compete her 5th year of Level 10 in her senior year at Grove City High School. Avery has seen a great deal of success at State Championships, and has also been a Regional and National Qualifier. After graduating in 2018, Avery will attend Iowa State University on a gymnastics scholarship. Her classroom grades have earned her a spot in the top 10% of her class. She enjoys spending time with family, playing games, watching sports, cooking and tryout out new restaurants while traveling.
Gretchen was a compulsory and optional gymnast at Gym X-Treme for 9 years, earning several State Championship medals. She is a student at Buckeye Valley High School where she has been involved in basketball, track and field, tennis and cross country. She is involved in 4-H, Young Life and student council. Gretchen loves animals, shopping and cooking.
Alex attends Big Walnut High School where she plays volleyball and lacrosse. She is an honors student and tutors young children. She loves being around kids, and enjoys a good read and a good laugh.
Rec Coach & Office
MarCee has coached Gym X-Treme’s recreational and developmental team since 2011. She has an Associates Degree in Marketing Communication from Columbus State Community College. MarCee also serves as the Drama Director grades 1 – 8 at St. Mary Delaware. She has completed the Protecting God’s Children course and was a Corporate Trainer at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Grill. She has done Adult Ballet & Jazz at Ballet Met. MarCee has two daughters, Gianna & Lannai (both members of the Gym X-Treme Gymnastics Team) and is a step-mother to Toran. She had a role in Twenty-First Century (an independent film in 2004) and has done numerous radio voice-overs & television commercials.
Rec Coach & Office
Tara was a competitive gymnast with Gym X-Treme for 6 years. She then continued with the gym as a competitive cheerleader. Tara graduated from Olentangy High School in 2016, where she was a varsity cheerleader. She attends Otterbein University as a nursing student, sorority member and cheerleader. Tara loves working with kids!
Laurie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in Psychology and Sociology. She has worked at Ohio Wesleyan since 1997. She enjoys spending time with her husband Greg and her two kids, Chase and Jackson. Chase is a member of the Gym X-Treme Competitive Gymnastics Team. Laurie has 2 dogs and a cat and enjoys running. She has completed 2 marathons, several half marathons and an assortment of other distance races.
Barb graduated from Westerville South High School in 1979. She has been a “gym mom” for 8 years to her daughter Wen. Barb retired after 32 years of service with the federal government in Human Resources. She was honorably discharged after 6 years of service with the Ohio Army National Guard as a Combat Medic and Surgical Technician. Barb is a “Buckeye” at heart and enjoys watching football and wrestling, but of course, gymnastics is her favorite! In her free time, she likes spending time with family, gardening, reading, and working her health & wellness supplement business.
